Expressway safety measures

To prevent secondary accidents when providing assistance on dangerous expressways,
JAF uses two vehicles: a rescue car and a car that drives behind and alerts other drivers to take care.
We safeguard our customers in various ways, including ...... on site of accident or breakdown.

Cautions for using JAF roadside assistance

※Please present the provisonal JAF membership card must be presented to JAF service personnel on-site.If you do not
present the card,you will be charged for service and labor costs for non-members.
※The provisional JAF membership card is valid for use only while the holder of the card is renting a car in Japan.
※When you used JAF roadside assistance, please make sure to inform the rental car agency staff that you used.
※Plesase return the provisinal JAF membership to the rental car agency when you return your rental car.
*1 Does not apply to some outlying islands.
*2 You may be responsible for the following charges:
- ・Towing services for distances of 20km or longer
- ・Handling a vehicle in a traffic accident,that is overturned, has a wheel off the side of the road, or other situations
- ・Cost of replacement parts ( i.e.genuine parts may not always be available for replacement)
*3 You will be charged for cost of the fuel used to replenish vehicles (fuel costs must be paid directly to JAF)

etc. at JAF partner facilites offering speial benefits.
※　Special JAF benefits are granted only to holders of the provisonal JAF membership card,
which is providing through a car rental service.

Cautions before borrowing the provisonal JAF membership card

JAF individual members or family members
JAF individual members or family members are able to use JAF roadside assistance with ther own membership card, even with a rental car
(for models with applicable roadside assistance).

International vistors considering using JAF roadside assistance
Members of affiliated automobile clubs of the FIA and America Automobile Association (AAA) are entitled to JAF roadside assistance

equivalent to regular JAF members(most of JAF’s roadside assistance free of charge, with the exception of some work) if they present a valid home club membership card with either of the logos on the rightbottom.

International visitors considering JAF special benefit service

Members of automobile clubs affiliated with the Show Your Card program are entitled to preferential treatment from some JAF partner facilities if they present a valid home clud membership card with any of the logos on the rightbottom.
